Arrived in Japan

Hello all,

It's 4:41 in the morning, here in Japan.
But in the UK it's 8:41in the evening...
I just can't sleep any longer!!!
(I never thought I will be saying that...)

It's my third day in Japan, and I am still at the stage of settling in. Doing paper work, talking to the pastor about the work and so on.

Today's main task will be to decide which flat we will be liven in. Forth fiat two months, I will love tree alone, but after our wedding, it will be our new home. We are lookin fr a 2DK, with in 15 minutes walk from the station, For a good value. Please pray that Ai and myself will be able to find a suitable place.

From next week, the Pastor and I will talk about my roll, and will make a plan of what I will be doing. My desire, my calling is to work to see every Japanese person hear the gospel. Please pray that the tasks given to me will also be towards this aim.

Tomorrow, I will be giving a short report of my time in UK to the church and also my greetings, first impressions are always important, so again, please pray that I might say the right things, so the church will know my calling, and receive me gladly.

Thanks to all of you who take interest in me.

send an e-mail with your name address (post or e-mail) to Japan
Christian Link.

finally, I forgot to mention this on our last update, but all my old

Isle of Skye

I am now on the train at Kyle of Lochalsh, about to leave for Inverness.

The 10 days here have been great with a mixture of experience.

Last Wednesday I was given the opportunity to speak at a prayer meeting held in a house with 10 or so people. It was great to be able to pray for Japan with the people there.

Then Friday I was at the primary school at Elgol speaking to the students about Japan an missionaries.

As soon as I left the school it was time for a boat trip with the world famous Misty Isle Boat Trip (as seen on BBC and NHK). Seeing the beauty and glory of Gods creation was just awesome! Thanks for the free ride Stuart!!!

In the evening I was at the north part of Skye where I joined in a youth Christianity Explored course held at the Tinks, where I stayed for two nights.

Saturday, Jonathan took me to see the North parts of Skye, like the kilt rock and a brilliant view from Q.... Ah, can't remember the name... But a great place!

Sunday morning I was given the opportunity to speak at a church of Scotland church about Japan, and by the evening I was back in the south part of Skye to speak at a gathering that met at another church.

Now, as for the photo that is showing...
That is from Tuesday just passed.

The three men are Stevie, John and Stuart. I was staying at Stuarts, and was told that the slaughtering and gutting of pigs was going to happen, and received an invite.

Well, to cut the long story short, it was an experience I'll probably never forget, it hasn't put me off pork, as a matter of fact, I really enjoyed the meat, and I am truly thankful for the very rear experience I was able to have.

But more than that, it was great to get to know you three over the few days! I know I will be in your prayers and you will be in mine.

So next, a. brief stop at Inverness, then to Edinburgh!

Till next time!

Engagement and new blog

hello again everyone!

as promised, here are some photos from the Engagement.

that's the day everything became official, and not the day I got down on
my knees.
(that happened in the beginning of February.)

now that are engagement is official, and our prayer card in the making,
we have decided to have a joint blog instead of this one, so that you
can pray not just for me, but for Ai also.
(though, this blog will also be updated with same details up to our
wedding day.)

the new blog (which has no updates yet) is www.timandai.blogspot.com and
should have posts coming soon.

Lots of thing happening!!

Well, more than a week has gone past without an update... The reason was because I was having a holiday!

On the 40th of April I had an engagement party, which had an attendance of over 60 people!!
It was a great day and Ai and myself will like to thank all who came, and all who have remembered us in their prayers. So from then till Friday, I was entertaining Ai and her parents in London and Edinburgh, and that's why I hadn't updated the blog.

Ai and her parents left for Japan on Friday, and she is back to work from today. Please do remember us as we continue to prepare for our wedding which will be on the 17th of September, held in Tokyo Baptist Church.

From Saturday I was in Sidmouth, and was presenting my work in Emanuel Baptist Church on Sunday morning and evening. A great congregation who have been a real encouragement for me.

Today (Monday the 9th) I return back to London and will catch a night bus to Glasgow, where I will catch a train which will take me to Skye.
I will be in Skye for 10 days spending time with friends and speaking at a few meetings.

So, next update will be from Skye, with photos of the engagement service and past places I have visited.

17 April

Hello all,

I am currently in Victoria coach station waiting to board the bus for Edinburgh. The Japanese youth retreat and the service in Wimbledon where real blessings for me.

The retreat, which was held in Milton Keens had an attendance of 25 or so, which is significantly smaller than previous years, but it was a time of fellowship, worship, encouragement and a time to meditate on our Lords work on the cross.
I gave my testimony, and also by some strange reason taught how to Ceilidh. (is that how you spell it?)
It was great to catch up with Japanese Pastors ministering to deaspora within Europe.

As soon as the last session finished, it was time to head for Wimbledon, I was actually 15minutes late to arrive at the service which started at 2pm, but was on time to preach.

Being a week before Easter, I spoke on Psalm 22:1-21.
Being the first time to talk solely on the Passion, I was worried on how it will turn out, but I have to say, I was truly blessed all through my preparation, and recommend you to also read that Psalm this week and meditate on all that the Lord lost, all the emotions he went through, simply to give us all.

Qs for plans for this week, I will be attending the Faith Mission Bangor Convention from Thursday till next Tuesday.
I will be presenting my work and the need of Prayer in Japan, so please do pray for me as I share this burden the Lord has laid upon my heart.

Friday 15 April 2011

I am back in London as there is a Japanese youth retreat held in Miltonkeens from today.

The retreat will end on Sunday morning, and after that I will be speaking at Wimbledon Japanese Church. An engagement that was just decided yesterday.

So I have till this evening to prepare a sermon...

Never made one in so little time... Now's when I need prayer!

12th April

today was a day in.
after arriving back to my parents from Kirkmuirhill, it was time to
design a Prayer-card for my parents.
if you see one, take it, stick it on your fridge of prayer board (not
the Dart-board!!) and please do pray for them!
they will be going to Shigaraki, a rural town in Japan with 15,000
people to work at a Church.

Monday 11 April 2011

11th April

My time here at Kirkmuirhill is already drawing to an end.
The congregation in Kirkmuirhill Church of Scotland were very warm and welcoming. It was a true encouragement to be here, and have have such a great feedback.

I am glad the mission report has finally started, and look forward to the following ones.

A special thanks to Ian Watson, Tim Mason and all at Kirkmuirhill for making this available for me!

Today, went to see the grave of John Broun, a Covenanter who was shot for his faith in 1685.

From Friday till next Sunday, I will be joining the Japanese youth retreat which will be held in Milton-keens.

Edinburgh

I am now on the train to Edinburgh, where I will be based for this month.

Yesterdays wedding was great. Yusuke, my new brother in law and Grace will be flyin to Scotland to spend some time with us, and Yusukes family are on the train with us.

While my parents are entertaining the guests for the week, I will be studying and preparing my presentation and a sermon.

Next weekend will be the beginning of my deputation with my visit to Kirkmuirhill Church of Scotland, where Tim Mason works.

Also, as those who follow me on facebook already know, I am engaged to a lovely girl named Ai Takizawa. And plan to have an engagement party at the end of the month (30th of April) in London.

Plans for this week

It's the second morning since my arrival here In the UK, and I am staying with my parents in the highbery Centre in Islington, London.

As my sister's wedding is on the 2nd of April, I am helping with the preparation for the week, and meeting my sisters fiancé's family.

We will return to Edinburgh on Sunday, and the deputation will start from there.

Till then.

Plan to return to UK

Hi folks

I am flying back to UK in two days.
And I will be in the UK for nearly 4 months.

I will update on my plans shortly, with more updates.
